After a strong July 7 start, Cubs pitcher Jason Hammel left the field complaining of hand cramps. After approaching the team doctor, he was prescribed an unusual fix -- potato chips.

“For my cramps, if it’s a chronic thing, (the doctor) said, ‘Potato chips,’ because they have a lot of potassium and obviously the sea salt helps retain water," Hammel said. "So I focused on that over the break and ate a lot of potato chips, and I think it turned out pretty well. Potato chips prescription — PCP — that’s what I’m going to try to go with.”-Jason Hammel to New York Daily News

Hammel's chips helped him strike out six men over seven innings, leading to a team win for a three-to-one victory over the Brewers. Now we wait to see the endorsement deals roll in.
