‘Cruisin’ The Ave’ Car Show Hits Hawkeye Downs On Saturday [GALLERY]
The 'Crusin' the Ave' Car show sponsored by the Cedar Rapids Corvette Club returns this Saturday, but this year at a new location. This year's charity car show will be held at Hawkeye Downs after several years at Lindale Mall.
Registration begins Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with judging starting at 11:30. The awards ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. There are numerous categories for cars of all makes and models. There are prize drawings, a silent auction and live music too.
Along with the all the cars and vehicles entered by competitors, there are also several featured vehicles for people to stop out and see. This year you can see a 1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25, a super flamed 1940 Mercury, and a General Lee 1969 Charger replica.
The annual car show is also a fundraiser for several Eastern Iowa charities. Funds from the show will benefit Clothe A Child, Miracles in Motion, Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa, and The Catherine McAuley Center.
If you're into vintage vehicles of all kinds, don't miss this show at Hawkeye Downs on Saturday!
