Today is the day! Chris Stapleton will be playing a show at Vibrant Arena in Moline this evening, and it's something I've been looking forward to for months!

The first time I ever heard Chris Stapleton sing was the first time a lot of people heard him sing: at the 2015 CMA Awards. He performed a couple of songs with Justin Timberlake, and that two song set has gone down in history as one of the best CMA performances of all time. I've been a fan ever since.

Since 2015, I have listened to a LOT of Chris Stapleton. His voice, his lyrics, his guitar skills... I love all of it. He's easily one of my favorite artists of all time. I saw him live for the first time in Des Moines back in 2017 and I was so excited that I cried! I missed him at the Great Jones County Fair a few years ago because of a wedding, so I'm thrilled I get to see him again this week.

In honor of Chris' show in Moline on Thursday, I decided to compile a list of my favorite Chris Stapleton songs. I will admit, putting this list together was pretty difficult. In fact, I originally was going to list my five favorite songs, but I just couldn't narrow it down to only five! After a lot of thought and consideration, here are my top six favorite Chris Stapleton songs (honorable mentions are listed at the end):

6. "Midnight Train to Memphis" - From a Room: Volume 2

5. "Either Way" - From a Room: Volume 1

4. "Devil Always Made Me Think Twice" - Starting Over

3. "Whiskey and You" - Traveller

2. "You Should Probably Leave" - Starting Over

1. "Tennessee Whiskey" - Traveller

Honorable Mentions

  • "Fire Away" - Traveller
  • "More of You" - Traveller
  • "Cold" - Starting Over
