When I checked out my 2022 Apple Replay a few weeks ago, I wasn't surprised to see lots of country music on there. My top five most listened to artists included Tyler Childers, Hailey Whitters, and Miranda Lambert, and both Hailey and Miranda, as well as Maren Morris, graced my top five album list.

When I was putting together this list of my top ten favorite country songs that were released this year, I quickly realized that the majority of the songs are from women. There are a ton of female country artists that are absolutely killing it right now, like Lainey Wilson, Ashley McBryde, and Carly Pearce. If you aren't listening to all these talented ladies, you are seriously missing out!

I also noticed that most of the songs on my list don't get much radio airplay. I think that country radio is a great way to be exposed to a variety of awesome artists, but it's up to you to dive into their full albums. Hailey Whitters' latest album Raised is filled with fantastic songs, as is Miranda Lambert's Palomino. I'm just now starting to get into Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottom Country, and I look forward to finding more of her songs to love!

Without further ado, here are my ten favorite country songs of the year (in no particular order):

Everything She Ain't - Hailey Whitters

Something in the Orange - Zach Bryan

Love is a Cowboy - Kelsea Ballerini

The Kind of Love We Make - Luke Combs

Heart Like a Truck - Lainey Wilson

Don't Come Lookin' - Jackson Dean

Actin' Up - Miranda Lambert

If I Was Your Lover - Kip Moore & Morgan Wade

I Can't Love You Anymore - Maren Morris

Brenda Put Your Bra On - Ashley McBryde
