Courtlin’s Resolution Movie List: Week 10

Another week, another movie! I chose a movie to watch this weekend from my New Year's Resolution movie list, and it's one that I should have watched the week of February 2nd - Groundhog Day (1993).

I know I'll probably get some hate for this, but in my opinion, the movie wasn't as great as everyone made it out to be. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed watching it, but I didn't feel like there was a clear explanation of WHY he kept living the same day over and over. Like, WHO made that happen? I understand that he needed to learn a lesson in order to break the cycle, but who was the person or being or whatever who cast this magical spell on him? I WANT ANSWERS.

Other than that, the movie was quite entertaining. For awhile I felt like I was going a little bit insane. An hour into the movie and I felt like I had been watching it for 3 hours. I started to wonder if it was EVER going to end. I honestly thought that he was going to live for eternity in a Groundhog Day hell, and the movie would not have a happy ending. Fortunately, I was wrong. I was SO relieved when he finally woke up on February 3rd.
