Courtlin Spends Her 33rd Birthday Touring Nashville [GALLERY]
Another long weekend in Nashville is in the books!
Late last week (May 2nd), six of my friends and I headed to Nashville to celebrate my 33rd birthday! Even though it wasn't my first trip to Music City, it was my first visit to the Grand Ole Opry, Opryland Resort, Eric Church's new bar Chief's, Printers Alley, and more! Here's a little breakdown of where we went during our weekend getaway:
Thursday Night:
- Made it to our Airbnb in East Nashville after a 9-hour drive
- Sang on stage with Coco & the Nash Bash (my high school friend's band) at Hank Williams Jr Boogie Bar
- Had late night pizza at Mellow Mushroom
Friday:
- Toured the legendary Grand Ole Opry (cried several times)
- Ate lunch at the Aquarium Restaurant and walked around Opry Mills
- Took a boat ride through Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center
- Took a NAP (because I'm old and I needed one)
- Ate dinner at Miranda Lambert's Casa Rosa on Broadway
- Saw bands and sang karaoke at bars in the historic Printers Alley
- Had a late night snack at the Daddy's Dogs stand (AMAZING!!!)
Saturday:
- Ate a delicious breakfast burrito from Living Waters Brewing (right next door to our Airbnb)
- Went shopping for records at Grimey's and picked out some items at Anaconda Vintage
- Made it to The Treehouse in East Nashville for a late brunch
- Hopped down to Broadway and checked out some fantastic live music at Chief's and Whiskey River Saloon
- Had a late night snack at BAAM Burger
Sunday:
- Took a 90-minute bus ride to Lynchburg, Tennessee
- Did a tour of the Jack Daniel's Distillery
- Had lunch at Barrel House BBQ and shopped at Jack Daniel's Lynchburg Hardware & General Store
- Took the bus back to Nashville
- Watched movies at the Airbnb and ordered DoorDash from Rock N' Roll Sushi
Monday:
- Made a quick stop for breakfast at Tower Market and Deli
- Headed back to Iowa!
