Saturday night I went down to the Tri-State Rodeo in Fort Madison to see Brett Eldredge, and it was basically a dream come true.

Yes, I am at work today, which means no, Brett and I did not fall madly in love and run away together. I know, I'm bummed, too. That's ok, though, because love lasts forever, but so do videos on the internet. Check this out:

I HAVE NO WORDS.

I don't get starstruck too often, but man, seeing Brett in person after stalking him on Snapchat all these months was surreal. First of all, he's really tall, which I'm sure he is well aware of, but me, being the awkward idiot that I am, decided to remind him by saying, "Holy crap you're tall!" Yes. Those were my first words to Brett Eldredge. Smooth, Courtlin. No wonder he didn't immediately ask me to be best friends. At least I didn't tell him he's the most attractive person I've ever seen (like I did with Dierks) or say, "OH MY GOD YOU'RE MIRANDA LAMBERT (yes, that happened).

Brett was crazy cool, though, as you can tell from the Snapchat video he took on my phone. He also held my hand because it was cold, hugged me, and took a picture with me. I didn't feel like a human being for like a half an hour afterwards. I know Brett is attractive, but he's also incredibly real and down to earth and stinkin' hilarious. Not to mention talented. And that's why I'm going to force him to marry me.

No, I'm totally kidding. But all joking aside, he's truly a remarkable guy. I was lucky enough to stand front and center for the show, and he put on a heck of a performance. He did a ton of songs off of his new album, which was really cool. He also sang "Fly Me to Moon" by Frank Sinatra. SWOON. Plus, his band is awesome.

Thank you, Brett. You are my favorite human. If you ever feel like dating a lowly radio host, I'm always available!

Here are a couple pics from the show:
