Costco Confirms All Iowa Locations Will Close on The Same Day

Iowans are certainly familiar with businesses that aren't always open. Take Fareway and Chick-fil-A, for example. Both are closed on Sundays.

While most Iowa businesses are open 7 days a week, occasionally, a business will be closed to allow employees a day to spend time with family and friends.

All Iowa Costco Stores Will Be Closed on the Same Day

If you're a Costco fan, you certainly appreciate the ease of buying in bulk and saving money.

While Costco stores are usually open every day, they'll all be closed on one upcoming day.

And, the reason why makes sense.

All Costco locations will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 26. This will give employees a chance to enjoy a day or a long weekend with family.

For those who wish to honor a fallen military hero, this will also allow time to travel and do so without having to go to work.

Other Stores Closed on Memorial Day

Natural Grocers, which also has several Eastern Iowa locations, will be closed. USP and FedEx physical store locations will also be shut down for the holiday.

Because Memorial Day is a Federal Holiday, all schools will be closed, as will post offices and banks.

While I can't promise they'll be open Memorial Day, here are some legendary local restaurants that have been open for at least 50 years. Check 'em out next time you have a chance.
