Corridor City Warns Of Tire Slashings
The Iowa City Police Department says keep your eyes open! There have been more than 20 reports of slashed tires in the city, in just the last three days.
According to a release from the City of Iowa City, many of the deflations have occurred on Iowa City's southeast side, especially around Miami Drive, Nevada Avenue, and Union Road. The majority of the slashings are happening in the evening, with calls to police coming the following day.
Iowa City Police say they have no suspects and there have been no witnesses. The police department is increasing patrols in that area in an effort to catch those responsible and/or deter future incidents.
If you can provide any information that might help Iowa City Police identify a suspect, or suspects, please call (319) 356-6800.
