National Fried Chicken Day just passed, sparking thoughts about how some people aren't fans of this beloved dish. Whether it's the texture, taste, or safety concerns around hot oil, fried chicken isn't everyone's cup of tea—whether in a pan, with a fan, in a car, up a tree, or anywhere else you see it served. If fried chicken isn't your comfort food go-to, what dish hits the spot for you when you need a culinary hug?

I put that question out this weekend on our Facebook page and we got lots of great responses.

Gayle was in for Chili or Goulash as her go-to comfort food.  So many ways to make Chili.  Do you have a favorite chili recipe? I once had a chili called Cadillac Chili and it was more of a soup but they swore it was a chili.

Angie shared a comforting dish packed with delightful extras. While Stouffer's has been my go-to for lasagna, despite watching countless YouTube tutorials on making it from scratch, I've yet to dive in and try it myself. Have you ever attempted to make a homemade lasagna? Garfield the Cat makes it seem so effortless... to devour, at least!
