I'm still slightly freaked out from what I saw at Circle of Ash. I've been going to the haunted attractions at the Linn County Fairgrounds in Central City for years, and I promise you the scary surprise at the end of the haunted house will leave you shaking in your boots.

If you can stomach more after the haunted house, hit Socko's Fun House, a funhouse-style maze overrun with demented clowns, and then if you still have your wits about you, brave Frightmare Forest’s trail of monsters. The experience is generally PG-13, and adults must accompany those 13 and younger.

Their new axe-throwing trailer is called Off the Handle, and it's $5 for 5 minutes unless you got a VIP ticket for which includes a free 5 minutes. They’ve added concessions in their new silo pavilion serving up hot food like grilled cheese with "bloody tomato soup," fries, and chicken fingers. Yes, those are, um, chicken fingers.

But since there is so much to see and do, I recommend grabbing the fast pass admission or the VIP experience admission, since they both have line-skipping privileges. The VIP experience offers unlimited admission to all attractions for one night, access to a themed VIP lounge with a private warming table for your group, 15 percent off merch and concessions, and a free t-shirt and keepsake wristband.

Another new ticket option is the Behind the Screams Tour. For $20, after you’ve gotten your thrills in, you get a lights-on tour of two of the attractions, plus a look at some of the backstage cast areas and meet and greets hosted by cast members. It's at 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and is about an hour long.

Circle of Ash is always really popular, so save time and money by buying your tickets online at circleofash.com. They offer corporate discounts and discounted rates for groups of 20 or more. For more information on that, just email info@circleofash.com.
