Walker Hayes Set for Iowa Summer Concert

Fair officials dropped the exciting news on Wednesday, February 7th that country star Walker Hayes would be performing this summer in Iowa.

Hayes' popularity skyrocketed in 2020 due to the success of his catchy hit song 'Fancy Like.' This track immediately jumped to the top of the country mainstream pop charts.

According to Billboard, the song reached No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart in 2021.

This song helped him get a nationwide Applebee’s commercial AND a Grammy nod.

Now, the sensation will be returning to Iowa this summer!

Concert Details

This summer, Walker Hayes will be bringing his crew with him to the Buchanan County Fair. The fairgrounds are located at 204 12th Street NE in Independence.

The show is slated for Friday, July 19th at 8:00 PM. Doors for the event are set to open at 6:30 PM.

Tickets for this show are going to be a hot item come this summer!

According to officials from the Buchanan County Fair, tickets for this grandstand event go on sale Friday, February 9th at 10:00 AM.

At the end of last year, fair officials announced another huge country star would be coming through to Independence this summer. Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry will be performing at the grandstand on Thursday, July 18th.
