Cedar Rapids to Welcome Another New Restaurant [PHOTOS]

It has 650 locations in 40 states, including two in Iowa, but this will be the first location in the corridor.

Moe's Southwest Grill will be opening a stand-alone restaurant in Northtowne Market. The development is across from the SuperTarget on Blairs Ferry Road Northeast.

Moe's is considered fast-casual with made-to-order southwestern food. It features more than 20 fresh ingredients and free chips and salsa with every order.

A lease has been signed for the new restaurant, but there's no word yet on when it will open. Cedar Rapids is part of phase one of Moe's expansion in Iowa, according to the Ottumwa Courier. The first location in phase one, in the Quad Cities, opened last summer. Waterloo, Des Moines, Ames, and Iowa City are also expected to see locations soon. The chain has signed an agreement to bring 12 of their restaurants, in total, to Iowa.
