The streets, shops, and workplaces of Cedar Rapids are pretty much cleared out thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. This is especially true for our malls. With stores closing up shop, Lindale Mall is like a ghost town. Well, that is, except for one locally-owned business that has managed to keep the lights on.

Believe it or not, PretzelMaker inside of Lindale Mall is open for business, according to KCRG. The report states that owner Lisa Vanderlind, who opened the shop 12 years ago, found a way to stay in businesses after learning the mall was closing by doing front door pickup. And, to get the word out, she's getting creative by posting videos to social media.

After doing some digging around, you can see that Lisa is having just a little fun getting the word out. She's been doing some fishing...

Dancing...

Having luaus...

Working out, and more!

Vanderlind is clearly making the best of the current situation. Not only is she letting people know her business is open and ready to serve, but she's making us all smile. If you're craving pretzels, you can call the store at 319-395-9666 to place your order, then go up to the doors on the 1st Ave. side of the mall to pick it up. Based on the Facebook posts, hours of operation are from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. each day.
