
Cedar Rapids Shooting Leads To Two Attempted Murder Charges
A pair of 19-year-olds are each facing charges, including attempted murder following a Thursday evening shooting on Cedar Rapids northwest side.
According to a release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department, authorities were dispatched to 2925 Johnson Ave. N.W. Thursday (11/16) night at 6:15.
The incident reportedly involved a shooting and when officers arrived on the scene, they found one person who had been shot in the arm. Two suspects, Anthony Keith and Derek Morrison, Jr. (pictured above, left to right) have both been arrested.
Keith and Morrison, Jr. were both charged with first-degree robbery and attempted murder. Keith has also been charged with conspiracy to commit a felony while Morrison, Jr. faces additional charges of carrying weapons, reckless use of a firearm, and intimidation with a firearm.
Both men are being held in the Linn County Jail.
