Cedar Rapids Police Release Names of Murder Victims

The Cedar Rapids Police Department is continuing to investigate a double homicide that occurred last evening.  Police officers received a call of a shooting at 1708 4^th Avenue SE on Wednesday evening at 10:09 p.m. and arrived on scene at 10:10 p.m. to find an adult male and adult female who had been shot inside the residence.  The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims have been identified as:

1. Quintrell D. Perkins, DOB/09-27-1991, age 22, of Cedar Rapids
2. Sierrah Rochelle Simmons, DOB/10-13-1993, age 20, of Cedar Rapids

The investigation has determined that a person or persons fired multiple rounds from outside of the residence into the dwelling.  The case remains an active, ongoing investigation.
