Our state brags two of the most efficiently-run cities in the country, according to a new survey.

WalletHub compared 150 of the United States' biggest cities based on operating efficiency, and as another feather in our cap, Cedar Rapids got a VERY high ranking!

It was based on a "Quality of Service" score, comprising 37 key performance indicators grouped into six service categories – that was then measured against the city’s total per-capita budget.

Cedar Rapids? We came in at #15 overall. We also got the 23rd highest "Quality of Service" score, and our "Total Budget per Capita" rank was 26th. Des Moines wasn't far behind us at #50.

The Top 5 were Lexington, Kentucky; Durham, North Carolina; Boise, Idaho; Provo, Utah and at #1 was Nampa, Idaho.
