Tonight marks the 32nd Annual National Night Out and the 16th celebrated in Cedar Rapids. Here's where tonight's activities will be held.

Here's the complete list of where neighborhood get-togethers will be held tonight, provided by the Cedar Rapids Police Department:

  • Falcon Drive and Falcon Court Northeast (event held in the intersection)
  • Lexington Green (behind the condos at 3812 and 3814 Foxborough Terrace Northeast; 6:30 pm start)
  • Linn Mar (2103 Linmar Drive NE; 6 to 8 pm)
  • Grand Reserves (3214 Rockwell Drive NE)
  • Park Cress (church parking lot at 611 Old Marion Road NE; 5:30 to 8 pm)
  • Wellington Heights (Driveway of 1720 3rd Ave SE; 5 pm start)
  • Wellington Heights (1806 Grand Ave SE; 6 pm start)
  • Wellington Heights (1526 7th Ave SE; 5 to 8 pm)
  • Northwest Neighbors Association (1430 Ellis Blvd NW; 5:30 to 7:30 pm)
  • Cleveland Neighborhood Association (Cleveland Park at the corner of 8th Ave & Williams Blvd SW; 5:30 to 8:30 pm)
  • Gateway Gardens (Poolside at 2981 6th St SW; 4 to 7:30 pm)
  • Water Point Court (3906 & 3908 Water Point Ct SW; 6:30 pm start)

You can attend the above events in your neighborhood or just turn on your porch light and spend some time chatting with your neighbors. I know it won't be easy, but let's all try to turn off those electronic devices and televisions and head outside tonight for at least a little while. I bet you anything you'll learn something interesting about your neighbors and you'll probably get the latest scuttlebutt too.
