Cedar Rapids resident Ivan Guinard is $30,000 richer after playing the Iowa Lottery. Ivan purchased a "Bonus Crossword" scratch ticket at the Casey's on Ellis Boulevard in Cedar Rapids. He was very happy when he realized he hit the grand prize of $30K!

According to KCCI, Ivan had done a good deed earlier in the day. A friend of his needed help repairing a door after a recent break in. Ivan took the time to help the person repair the damage to the door. He did this as a favor and didn't charge a dime for his labor.

Shortly after the repair job, he bought the ticket. The rest, as they say, is history. What a great story...And it get's even better!
