Cedar Rapids Man Bowls 877 Series
Alex Brice is a good bowler. His average is 231 and he's bowled a perfect game more than once. He's good....but Alex never dreamed of the kind of night he had on the lanes earlier this month in Cedar Rapids.
Alex is a member of the Beck Plumbing and Pizza Place team. The group of friends bowls at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center. By the end of the night, he had rolled the second highest series in the history of Cedar Rapids bowling.
In his first game, Alex rolled a 298. Not too shabby, but he was two pins short of a perfect game. No worries, he rolled a perfect 300 in his second game! He wrapped up his three-game series with a 279. His 877 total was just one pin shy of the record of 878.
When he finished he had recorded 32 of 36 strikes with two spares and no open frames. What an amazing night!
Alex began his career bowling for the Marion high school team. He's now is a senior at Mount Mercy University and a member of the Mustang bowling team.
Congrats to Alex, who had a lot of people to thank!
