Joey Gase has a full-season ride for the upcoming NASCAR season for the first time in his career.

Gase, a 26-year-old Cedar Rapids native, started racing at Hawkeye Downs when he was still in elementary school. Nearly 19 years later, he'll spend the year behind the wheel for Rick Ware Racing. It marks the first time in Gase's almost decade-long NASCAR career that he has a ride for an entire season. According to KCRG, it's not known what car number Gase will be driving during the season, but that will come soon.

Gase's first race will be the biggest of all, the season-opening Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 16. The NASCAR Cup Series Championship concludes the season on November 8. You can see the full 2020 NASCAR schedule HERE.

Gase and his wife Caitlin are parents to twin sons who were born in December.
