If you're looking for a new restaurant to try out here in Eastern Iowa, here you go! SoulGood Southern Dining is now open at 3100 6th St. SW in Cedar Rapids.

According to a new article from The Cedar Rapids Gazette, SoulGood Southern Dining officially opened for business back in late January. It's run by Brandon Campbell, his wife Samantha, and his brother Angelo Baker. The restaurant specializes in African American and Asian dishes, with all of the recipes taught to them by Brandon's mother. Brandon's parents owned a similar restaurant in Illinois when he was a kid. The Facebook page reads:

"SoulGood Southern Dining is a place to come and enjoy homemade from scratch southern style meals. Come and join our dinner table for real SoulGood food!"

Some of the items on the menu include fried chicken, fish, cornbread, mashed potatoes, chicken fried rice, eggrolls, and crab rangoons. They also have daily specials, like meatloaf on Tuesdays and smoked BBQ rib on Thursdays. After over a month in business, the article says that some of the customer favorites so far include the catfish, collard greens, and mac and cheese. Just check out some of these delicious-looking photos:
