Carrie Underwood is continuing her Las Vegas residency this week but later this year, you'll be able to see her less than 90 minutes from Cedar Rapids.

Monday morning, Carrie revealed her "Denim and Rhinestones" Tour. The tour includes a combined 43 shows in 2022 and 2023. Before we get to the details of that concert in the Quad Cities, let's reminisce about the amazing career this country superstar has had to date.

We begin in 2004 with Carrie's audition for 'American Idol.' It was recorded in St. Louis, Missouri in front of judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell. After nailing the Bonnie Raitt hit, "I Can't Make You Love Me," Carrie revealed her favorite artist was Martina McBride. The judges, who clearly saw the magic of her voice immediately, then asked Carrie to share her talent of being able to cluck like a chicken. She knocked that out of the park as well.

Carrie Underwood's audition aired on 'American Idol' in 2005 and America fell in love with her voice and personality. The Oklahoma native won the title on May 25, 2005. A star was born.

Last night, Carrie returned to 'American Idol' as a mentor and became emotional.

Nearly 17 years after winning 'American Idol' herself, Carrie Underwood has now had 28 #1 songs and has sold over 66 million records. On June 10, she'll release her new album "Denim and Rhinestones", which the new tour is named after.

Carrie Underwood's show at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline is Saturday night, November 12. She'll be joined by special guest Jimmie Allen.
