Cancer Picked the Wrong Princess

I have lost way too many friends and loved ones over the past few years to various forms of cancer. I was stunned when I recently learned there is another one fighting this battle.

Her name is Rose Grimm and I have known her since middle school. There is a benefit for Rose being held from 1-6 p.m., Sunday, November 19 at Aces & Eights bar in Czech Village.

The event page on Facebook tells you more about Rose and her battle with cervical cancer, which was just discovered on September 25. She will be taking chemotherapy and radiation for several weeks and will be unable to work. Tough news for a single mother of teenagers. I really love Rose. I ran into her for the first time in a while last summer at one of the Uptown Friday Nights and we got to spend a little time together. I hope to see her at this event and hope you will help support her as well.
