New Cedar Rapids Event to Feature Freestyle Bullfighting, Country Concert

An Iowa winter night promises to be red-hot with excitement this February.

On Saturday, February 3, the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena in downtown Cedar Rapids will welcome Bulls, Bands, & Barrels. The photos of what to expect simply scream intense exhilaration. Now for some details, including the concert that will accompany the Cedar Rapids event, and your first two chances to win tickets.

Bulls, Bands, & Barrels describes itself as "the premier western sports competition and live entertainment experience, bringing together rodeo and live music fans in professional arenas and rodeo facilities across the United States."

You'll also see freestyle bullfighting. I don't know about you, but jumping a bull doesn't seem like the greatest idea. No wonder the Bulls, Bands, & Barrels slogan is "This Ain't Your Grandpappy's Rodeo!"

The ladies of rodeo will also tear across the dirt on horseback, during the night's barrel racing.

When the rodeo ends, the live music begins. Everyone can get down in the dirt/pit to see Missouri native Sam Barber take the stage first.
