Brothers Osborne & Lee Brice Make For Magical Night in Monticello [PHOTOS]

Friday night's crowd at the Great Jones County Fair got a rare treat. They had the opportunity to see two headline acts on the same night. Lee Brice and Brothers Osborne each played for well over an hour and they certainly didn't disappoint.

Lee Brice was first on the stage and while most of his radio hits are medium or slow tempo, he turns up the pitch and energy for his live show. Brice had the crowd singing along at full throttle from the very beginning.

After performing "Love Like Crazy," Brice took off his sunglasses and gave the crowd a long look of wonderment. On two different occasions later in his set, he called the crowd the best he'd performed for this year. Brice commented, "none of us can get these smiles off our faces. This is badass."

Brice also allowed his extremely talented band a few moments to shine before sitting down at the piano for his hit, "I Don't Dance."

The highlight of Brice's 75-minute set for me was when he saluted everyone from members of the military to school teachers and asked fans to pull out their phones and turn on the lights "for the next 3 1/2 minutes." Thousands obliged as Brice sang "I Drive Your Truck," a song that was named both CMA and ACM Song of the Year in 2013.

Then it was Brothers Osborne's turn. T.J. and John Osborne put the fuse of fun at a fevered pitch as soon as they hit the stage. Their energy and amazing work on guitar electrified a Friday night full house in Monticello.

When Brothers Osborne performed a full-out jam of "Shoot Me Straight," the crowd roared its approval.

A little over the halfway point in the show, lead vocalist T.J. Osborne told the crowd that as youngsters he and his brother learned to sing and play so they could join the family in the living room. After a series of chairs were set up, T.J. and John joined their entire band for some magical moments of acoustic music.

Immediately after the chairs were removed, the energy level cranked to overdrive when the guys broke into "It Ain't My Fault."

Brothers Osborne kept the most unforgettable moment of the entire night until the very end. After leaving the stage, giant glowing skeletons appeared on stage before T.J., John, and members of the band reappeared in suits that glowed. All of this was the backdrop to, "All Night," the final song of the night. It was fitting, because if given the chance, I don't think there was anyone who wouldn't have stayed that long.
