The wake of the mass shooting in Las Vegas has hit the nation hard, but especially country music. Brothers Osborne expressed the pain the genre is feeling during their appearance on the Bobby Bones Show on Tuesday (Oct. 3).

Sitting down with the morning show host, John Osborne became emotional talking about the horrifying events and the victims who had to suffer through it. The country act had performed at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Friday (Sept. 29), just days before a gunman opened fire on the crowd of fans gathered in Las Vegas Village to watch Jason Aldean's headlining set on Sunday (Oct. 1). He was performing "When She Says Baby" when the shooting began.

"Aside from everything that happened, it's a crowd that we'll never forget," John says of the fans at Route 91. But tears began to fill his eyes as the duo talked about the tragedy and the powerful love they feel for their fans.

These Are the Victims' Stories

"It's hard," John says in a clip, wiping tears from his eyes. "They're family. Every person that's ever come out to a show of ours, they feel like family to us. We feel like we owe them everything."

Brothers Osborne are among the many country stars who have expressed condolences following the tragic event that killed nearly 60 people and left hundreds injured. Luke Bryan relayed his sadness during his appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday (Oct. 4) alongside his fellow American Idol judges Lionel Richie and Katy Perry.

“It’s a country music festival, but it’s America …  I mean, it was one of the most heartbreaking days of my life, and for this country too," Bryan says.

Aldean has canceled his tour dates over the next few days to honor the victims, but will resume his tour schedule on Oct. 12 in Oklahoma.
