Brain & Courtlin Kick Off 2026 Listener Lunch At a Brand New Restaurant

After a month off for the holidays, we are so ready to resume Listener Lunch in the new year! We're very excited to tell you that our very first restaurant of 2026 is a brand new place that we've never been to before, AND it's within walking distance of the radio station! About Dua Pie

Dua Pie is located at 375 3rd St SE in Downtown Cedar Rapids, the former home of Gianna's Italian Beef. It just opened in November of 2025 and is owned by the same folks that own Napoli's Italian Restaurant in Cedar Rapids and Marion.

Dua Pie specializes in hot subs, pasta dishes, and New York-style pizza, which is available in whole pizzas or by the slice. They have classic pizzas like cheese, pepperoni, supreme, and meat lovers, but they also offer stuffed pizza and specialty options, too. BBQ chicken, Buffalo chicken, Hawaiian, and chicken alfredo pizza are all on the menu, which you can check out below. Other items available include appetizers like mozzarella sticks, wings, and jalapeno poppers, plus salads, calzones, and stromboli.

About Listener Lunch

Listener Lunch is a feature of 'Brain & Courtlin in the Morning' that we've been doing for almost 20 years! Every Tuesday from January through November, we take a different workplace of listeners out for a free lunch at a specific restaurant. We switch restaurants each month, and we announce each month's selected restaurant the day after the final lunch of the month prior.

If you're chosen to win, you can bring up to six others with you, and we always meet on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. And, don't worry: we always call our winner on the Friday prior to the next lunch to confirm that they can make it. But, that means you HAVE to answer the phone to win, so be sure to sign up with a phone number that you are able to answer on Friday mornings around 9 a.m. If you don't pick up when we call, we will put your name back in the drawing for another week and move on to the next entry.

Oh, and once you're in, you're in for the ENTIRE year, so there's no need to re sign-up each month!
