As part of his new variety show, Brad Paisley Thinks He's Special, Brad Paisley revisited his 2007 hit, "Letter to Me," which sends a message of hope and optimism to his teenaged self. As he sang from the stage, though, Paisley wasn't alone.

Stars such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and more appeared on a screen behind him, offering up advice -- both serious and light-hearted -- to their own younger selves. Underwood told her 17-year-old self not to miss an upcoming American Idol audition, and "for the love of all that is good in the world, stop plucking your eyebrows!"

For her part, Clarkson waxed heartfelt in her message to her teenaged self. "Hang in there. Your twenties are gonna be really hard," she said with a smile. "But your thirties are awesome!"

Paisley took his trip down memory lane to a whole new level when Kelsea Ballerini, who was one of the special guests on the variety show, joined him onstage. "Dear teenaged Kelsea, please keep following all of your dreams, but under no circumstances should you ever show anyone the video of you singing the Jonas Brothers in your bedroom. Ever," the singer went on to say.

"You mean this one?" Paisley deadpanned in response, before the clip in question began rolling on the screen overhead.

Right on cue, out walked the Jonas Brothers themselves -- but, as the song progressed, it became clear that the superstar pop trio weren't the best examples of people who had had an awkward stage in their teens.

"Well, at 17, I think we had our second No. 1 record," the band recalls. "And, uh, girls are gonna scream everywhere you go...Our TV show was a pretty big hit. You know, come to think of it, I don't think we really relate to it. This song is really depressing!"

Brad Paisley Thinks He's Special aired on ABC on Tuesday (Dec. 3) at 8PM ET.
