Blake Shelton Sings ‘Guitar Man’ With Elvis Presley During ‘All-Star Tribute’ [WATCH]
Blake Shelton is hosting Sunday night's (Feb. 17) Elvis All-Star Tribute TV special, but he'll also step onstage for a number of performances throughout the show. In fact, Shelton will open the event with a special duet of sorts.
Shelton's TV special-opening performance will be a medley of "Trouble" and "Guitar Man," the latter of which will feature Shelton singing with footage of Elvis Presley from his '68 Comeback Special. The Elvis All-Star Tribute show is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of that famous TV special. Readers can press play above to watch a snippet of the performance.
Country singer-songwriter originally wrote "Guitar Man" and released his own version of the song in 1967. Presley's cover of "Guitar Man" became both a country and pop hit and, when it was re-released in 1981, a No. 1 country hit.
In addition to Shelton, the Elvis All-Star Tribute TV special will also feature performances from Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, the Pistol Annies and Dierks Bentley. Outside of the country music genre, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran and more stars are scheduled to take the stage.
Elvis All-Star Tribute will be broadcast on NBC on Feb. 17 at 9PM ET.
