Demi Lovato threw a house party in Nashville on Wednesday (July 12), and by night's end, she grabbed a microphone, gave some shoutouts and started dancing to "Achy Breaky Heart." Sound a lot like your Wednesday night?

Billy Ray Cyrus even made a surprise appearance, joining the pop star onstage to sing the iconic country song. Lovato was in Nashville as part of her seven city Houseparty Tour, where she performs in intimate settings — like living room intimate — mostly in promotion of her new single "Sorry Not Sorry."

Nashville was Lovato's second stop, and of all the singers she could've chosen to sing with in Music City, she went with Cyrus. Perhaps their connection in the Disney days, when Cyrus starred with daughter Miley Cyrus on Hannah Montana and Lovato lead the Camp Rock movies and Sonny With A Chance, is what edged out the others for an invite.

According to the video, everyone at the party appeared to be having fun during Cyrus' song, dancing and singing along with the surprise performance. Though "Achy Breaky Heart" was originally released in 1992, Cyrus breathed new life into the song by releasing a 25th anniversary version in April. The new version is similar to the original, but also has noticeable differences such as being in a lower key, adding a late key change, having a looser feel, slower tempo and other nuances. Cyrus later thanked Lovato for the invite on social media.
