The next time you go out and get a pint of Ben & Jerry's for yourself, you can pick up some for your pup, too!

According to a new article from CNBC, Ben & Jerry's has released a new product called "Doggie Desserts." There are two flavors for your pup to enjoy: Pontch's Mix and Rosie's Batch. They're both named after dogs that belong to Ben & Jerry's employees. Pontch's Mix contains peanut butter and pretzel swirls, while Rosie's Batch has pumpkin and mini cookies.

On January 7th, Ben & Jerry's released an article answering some frequently asked questions about their new product and the ingredients. They note that Doggie Desserts are made with sunflower seed butter, which is safe for dogs to eat. The article reads:

"You may be wondering, is ice cream safe for dogs to eat? And the short answer is: no. And that’s exactly why we churned up Ben & Jerry’s Doggie Desserts with very limited amounts of dairy, so they are perfectly safe for your dog to enjoy. These frosty treats for dogs are made with sunflower butter, which is dog-safe (and dog-delicious)."

And, if you're wondering if YOU could give Doggie Desserts a taste, the answer is YES. Although they're not made for humans, all the ingredients are safe to eat.

Doggie Desserts are being sold nationwide individually as mini cups and in four-packs. You can get them at a grocery store near you. For more information on the product, you can visit their website HERE.

Ben & Jerry's isn't the first company to make ice cream for dogs. Purina also has a line called Frosty Paws. You can read more about Frosty Paws HERE.
