Bellevue Middle and High Schools on Wednesday were evacuated after reports of a "concerning message".

According to Superintendent Tom Meyer and a Bellevue principal, who was listed only as "Mr. Recker" on Facebook, students were being evacuated but not dismissed. According to his post, all students were evacuated to the undisclosed emergency location while authorities were "in the process of sweeping the building with law enforcement."

No details as to what the message entailed or when/where it was discovered were provided, other than to say it was "vague and concerning". Included in his post, Meyer said

The safety of all students and staff is our number one priority. Students are not being dismissed

No word was available on when the situation would be resolved and students allowed back into school, but we will keep you updated.
