Baseball's second season officially begins tonight. If your team has made the playoffs, you've got a chance. Throw the records out the window. In the playoffs, it's all about who can get hot at the right time. Tonight it's the American League wild card game between the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees. Tomorrow night the Chicago Cubs play the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League Wild Card game. Yes, these first games of the post season are just single games. Two teams will be one and done. Welcome to baseball in 2015.

The real shame comes in the National League. The Central division produced 3 teams with over 90 wins. The St. Louis Cardinals with 100 wins, the Pirates with 98 and the Cubs with 97. Either the Cubs or Pirates will be out by tomorrow night, and the winner gets the Cards in the division series. That's a tough draw for 3 of the best teams in baseball. Cubs fans are hoping that Jake Arrieta can pitch them past the Pirates and into St. Louis. Then, who knows? St. Louis is banged up and missing All-Star catcher Yadier Molina. Maybe the Cubs are a team of destiny as predicted by the movie 'Back to the Future 2'. Or maybe my name is Marty McFly. Let the playoffs begin!
