Authorities in Kearney, Missouri say they have investigated a possible sighting of missing University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts. Investigators in the case say they got a tip that Tibbetts may have been seen at a truck stop in that area on July 26th.

The area in and around the truck stop was searched and officers interviewed all possible witnesses. They also looked at video footage of the area in question as well. The Kearney Police Department isn't confirming or denying Tibbetts was seen in that area, but did send a report to the task force investigating her disappearance.

Tibbetts was last seen jogging in Brooklyn, Iowa on July 18th. She had been staying at her boyfriend's house to dog sit. She was last seen wearing dark shorts, a pink sports top, and running shoes.
