Amy Adams Blows Us Away in Blue Gucci Dress at 2014 Oscars [PHOTOS]

Amy Adams wore a dark blue, Gucci Couture gown to the 2014 Oscars, and its shape was somewhat similar to her 'American Hustle' co-star Jennifer Lawrence's red Dior peplum gown.

Adams' porcelain skin and red hair paired perfectly with the rich hue of the dress. It was a chic, column shape with some embellishment at the bodice and a train. The actress said the dress was a first choice for her and she knew she wanted to wear it the moment that she saw it. She chose wisely.

Additionally, the dress played up Adams' petite figure.  It was simple and simply stunning.

The color was unusual, and while dark dresses don't always photograph well, Adams looked (and photographed) amazingly.
