For those of you who enjoy being spooked, there are quite a few haunted attractions open for business here in Eastern Iowa! Here's a rundown of the places you should visit:

• Dark Chambers Haunted Attraction

  • Open October 12-13, 18-20, 25-28, and the 31st
  • "Light Fright" from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Full Scare from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Admission is $15 for the full scare or $10 for the "Light Fright"
  • Fast Pass is $25
• Marengo Haunted Barn
  • 802 W Main St in Marengo
  • Open Friday and Saturday nights through the end of October from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • They also offer a lights-on version (per request) for families with younger kids
  • Tickets are $8 per person
  • Bring a non-perishable canned good and receive a dollar off your admission
• Panic Park Haunted House

  • Open October 18-20, 25-27, and the 31st
  • Hours
    • Thursdays/Halloween from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Fridays/Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Admission is $15 per person
  • Bring a non-perishable food item and receive $2 off your admission
• Thrashers House of Terror
  • 405 E Threshers Road in Mount Pleasant
  • Open October 11-13, 18-20, 25-27, and the 31st
  • Hours
    • Thursdays/Halloween from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Fridays/Saturdays from 6 p.m. to midnight
  • Tickets are $10 per person or $15 for a fast pass
• The Heart of Darkness
  • 5111 Osage Road in Waterloo
  • Open October 11-13, 17-20, 24-27, and the 31st
  • Hours:
    • Wednesdays/Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Fridays/Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
    • Halloween from 7 p.m. until traffic stops
  • Tickets are $20 Thursday through Saturday and $15 on Wednesdays (or $10 with a student I.D.)

  • 4444 1st St NE in Cedar Rapids (the old Planet X building)
  • Hours
    • Thursdays/Sundays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Fridays/Saturdays 6 p.m. to Midnight
