A Popular Corridor Cafe Has Opened a Second Location [PHOTOS]
A new restaurant in Solon has officially started welcoming customers!
Last year, we got word that the popular brunch restaurant Bluebird Cafe, located at 650 W Cherry Street in North Liberty, would be expanding to a second location. The second Bluebird Cafe is at 112 East Main Street in Solon, and after several months of construction, it's finally open for business!
The new Bluebird Cafe in Solon came onto my radar this week after some delicious-looking photos popped up in my Facebook newsfeed. The official Facebook page for the business shows that the interior has undergone quite the makeover to get it ready for customers! Check out some of the progress photos from their social media accounts:
If you have yet to visit Bluebird Cafe, the restaurant offers all-day breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Whether you're in the mood for eggs benedict, an omelet, biscuits & gravy, and pancakes, or a burger, salad, sandwich, and mac & cheese, all your bases are covered on the extensive menu. They also offer beer, wine, and cocktails for adults.
The local food review page Ambassador of Flavors posted a few photos from the new Solon location, and they had great things to say about the French dip, the pancakes, and homemade hollandaise sauce. The post says that the restaurant's "sausage gravy, corned beef, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, and even sausage patties are also made in house," so there are quite a few homemade options.
The Bluebird Cafe in Solon does not yet have their phone number or hours posted online, but I called the North Liberty location and they told me that yes, the Solon restaurant IS open, and it should have similar hours to theirs.
