A New Neighborhood Cafe and Restaurant Has Opened in Iowa City
A new eatery is now welcoming customers right in the heart of Iowa City's Peninsula Neighborhood! The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that Aether Social Club has officially opened its doors at 1040 Martin Street, the former home of Cafecito 305.
Aether Social Club is described on social media as "a cozy retreat located in the heart of Iowa City’s Peninsula neighborhood." The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with menu items like flatbreads, paninis, deli sandwiches, salads, pastries, oatmeal bowls, and açai bowls, all made fresh to order. They also have plenty of beverage options, including smoothies, coffee, wine, and cocktails. The Facebook page says, "whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch, a relaxing coffee break, or a fun night out, you’ll find the perfect blend of comfort and style at our Iowa City location."
The owners of Aether Social Club are also working to open another Corridor restaurant in the very near future. According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, Mandy and Gaurav Guad plan to begin welcoming customers at CityWalk Eatery in Downtown Cedar Rapids this December. CityWalk will offer an "elevated dining experience," serving items like pasta, steak, and burgers.
Aether Social Club is one of only two restaurants in the Peninsula Neighborhood. The other is the Japanese restaurant Ramen Belly, which is open Monday through Saturday for dinner. Aether is open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can follow the restaurant on Facebook HERE.
