Get ready to do some mini golf here in Cedar Rapids! A recent photo from the Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Facebook page revealed that the new Mini Pines Miniature Golf Course is expected to open early this summer.

Last July, The Cedar Rapids Gazette revealed that Twin Pines Golf Course in Cedar Rapids would be adding a new mini-golf course between the clubhouse and the maintenance shop. According to the article, the course would not only feature 18-holes, but also a waterfall and "social media-friendly spots designed to prompt people to post on Instagram or Facebook and help market the course." It will also be ADA accessible.

Less than a year after the big announcement, the new mini-golf course is getting set to have their grand opening on June 11. An article from Eagle Voice says that the hours will be 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the prices will be $5 for toddlers, $6 for students, $8 for adults, and $7 for ages 65 and older. There are also going to be areas that customers can rent out for parties and events. Here's a sneak peek look that the department posted on Facebook last December.

The Mini Pines Golf Course isn't the only mini-golf course here in the Cedar Rapids area. There's also the Waterfall National Miniature Golf Course at Airport National Public Golf Course & Range over on Wright Brothers Blvd, and FX Mini-Golf at Air FX Trampoline Park on North 18th Avenue in Hiawatha.
