Northeast Cedar Rapids is home to a brand new Mediterranean restaurant!

If you're looking for a new local restaurant to try here in Eastern Iowa, look no further! Zest Mediterranean Grill is officially open at 475 Northland Ave NE, which is also home to The Edison Pub & Eatery. Zest is operating a "ghost kitchen" inside of the restaurant.

Zest's Facebook page says they officially opened for business on January 16th. Their about section reads:

"We craft each bowl, wrap, and salad using the best ingredients to produce the best tasting results! Opa!"

Zest's menu features "signature bowls" with both hot and chilled options, but they also allow you to build your own. If you choose to build your own, you get to choose your protein, foundation, veggies, premium toppings, texture, and sauce/dressing. The menu also has a section for Mediterranean wraps, like the Iconic Gyro, Marinated Classic Greek, Seared Flat Iron Steak, and Fragrant Beef Kofta. Three varieties of salad are also available. You can check out the full menu HERE.

Zest Mediterranean Grill is open daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. To place your order, you can call 319-200-1749 or do it online HERE. Your order can be picked up right from The Edison. You can also order it using delivery services like DoorDash.

I love a good gyro, so I'm excited to try out the Iconic Gyro Wrap At Zest Mediterranean Grill. I'm a big fan of the gyros from the O's Grill food truck and Brain can't stop ordering ones from New York Gyro in Marion, so if you're looking for a couple of other great places, you can check those out, too!
