A New Marion Restaurant Opens for Dine-In This Week [PHOTOS]

If you're looking for an Eastern Iowa restaurant that's totally different from any place you've ever been, a new place in Marion could be a perfect fit!

Back in early September, we reported that the hip-stir in Marion was officially opening its patio to customers. The new restaurant, located at the former Ramsey's Wine Bistro at 1120 7th Avenue, has been allowing customers to dine outdoors since then, but now they're ready to bring everybody inside!

Last night, the hip-stir held a soft opening where they allowed invited guests to come dine inside for the first time. One of those guests was local celebrity Joe Sample, who posted a few photos showing off the interior of the restaurant. It definitely has a one-of-a-kind look! If you think the decor is unique, you should see the menu! Some of the entree offerings include the Seared Bologna Sandwich, Le Smashburger, Chipotle Miso Udon, Brown Butter Scallops, and Steak Frites. For appetizers there's the Creole Butter Shrimp, Seasoned Edamame, Pork Belly Steam Buns, and Boujee Waffle Fries, which are topped with prosciutto, mustard sauce, and caviar.

The hip-stir's Facebook page says that the dining room will open to the public starting today (Wednesday, November 3rd). The hours listed online are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
