Get ready for a 'Cavalcade of Cars' in Cedar Rapids this spring! Thanks to a new press release, we now know that the Cavalcade of Cars classic car show is coming to the Alliant Energy Powerhouse on Saturday, April 3rd from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The socially-distanced event will feature a variety of different vehicles that are "hand picked by a selection committee," according to the official event Facebook page. The press release says:

"A family friendly event designed to bring together some rare rides of the region, guests can expect to see restored muscle, customs, low riders, exotics, rat rods, and even movie cars. "

We don't know too many more details just yet, but we know that admission is $10 per person, with kids 10 and under and active military admitted for free. There will also be discounted tickets available at participating locations in the near future. You will be able to purchase your tickets at the door, but you can also get them in advance through Ticketmaster HERE or via the Alliant Energy Powerhouse box office. For more updates on the event, visit the Facebook page HERE.

To make sure the event is safe for everybody, the Alliant Energy Powerhouse will be implementing some strict new procedures and guidelines, as outlined in the Return to Live plan. For example, all guests/staff are required to wear masks unless they're actively eating or drinking, hand sanitizing stations are set up for everyone to use, and venue capacities have been reduced.
