A Cedar Rapids Restaurant Has Opened A New Location in Center Point

A familiar restaurant has moved into the old Joensy's Restaurant in Center Point! La Cantina Bar N Grill has just opened a third location here in Linn County, this time over at 220 Franklin Street.

Joensy's Restaurant had been a staple in Center Point for 30 years when it closed back in October of 2022. Deborah and Dan Klouda, the owners of Joensy's, revealed that they had put the iconic restaurant up for sale because of some personal health issues in 2021. They were hoping to find new owners to take over, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. The loss of Joensy's was definitely felt throughout the Center Point community, but the good news is that fans can still enjoy their tenderloins at 2660 Wiley Blvd SW in Cedar Rapids!

La Cantina Bar N Grill, which has locations in Cedar Rapids and Marion, has officially taken over the space that was once home to Joensy's at 220 Franklin Street. The popular Mexican restaurant has a 4.5-star rating on Facebook and offers extensive menu options, strong margaritas, daily specials and happy hour deals. Their Cedar Rapids location at 5400 Edgewood Rd NE is currently participating in Cedar Rapids Restaurant Week with all sorts of delicious items! You can read more about that HERE.

The new Center Point La Cantina is open Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. You can check out the full menu on their official website HERE. Enjoy your tacos and margaritas!
