A Cedar Rapids Restaurant has Closed Its Doors
Say it ain't so!
Another Eastern Iowa business has shut its doors, and this time it's over in the NewBo District. According to Facebook, The Pig and Porter in Cedar Rapids is closed for the "foreseeable future." They opened up at 1028 3rd St. SE back in 2016. The brief post reads:
"The Pig and Porter is currently exploring our options as a business. For the foreseeable future we will be closed and we thank all of you for your support."
No other details have been given regarding the closure, but people in the comments on the post seem to be extremely bummed out about the news. I would definitely include myself in that group. Just this past weekend I drove past the restaurant and said to my friend, "I really want to try that place. Let's go soon!" Now I may never have the chance!
The good news is, The Pig and Porter said they are exploring their options, which means there is a chance this isn't a permanent closure. Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned for more updates!
