98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Matt Tisinger

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Matt Tisinger, who was nominated by Heather Tisinger! The entry reads:

"When his pager goes off, Matt is putting on his shoes and running out the door. He treats his community and complete strangers as a priority. Matt has been a member of the West Branch Fire Department for 26 years and is 2nd Assistant Fire Chief. He has also served as Scene Captain and Truck Captain. Matt has given up countless family dinners, holidays, and many hours of sleep to help others. He takes pride in his service. I am proud of my husband and his devotion to the West Branch Fire Department!"
