’90s Country Stars and Newcomers to Play in Corridor This Fall
It's going to be a very busy couple of months at the First Avenue Club in Iowa City who has ten, yes TEN, country acts on the schedule.
Tracy Byrd returns to Iowa City for a show on Saturday, October 26. Who's ready for the 'Watermelon Crawl,' 'Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo,' and 'The Keeper of the Stars?' Those are just a few of Tracy's 13 Top 10 hits. You can enter to win tickets to his show HERE.
Two weeks later, LOCASH will bring the party on Sunday night, November 10 with their Top 10 smashes, 'I Love This Life' and 'I Know Somebody' providing the perfect music for their high-energy show.
The following Friday night, November 15, '90s country crooner Mark Chesnutt graces the stage. It's hard to pick favorites with Mark, who has had 20 Top 10 hits, including 12 consecutive to start his career in the early '90s. My faves would have to be his debut single, 'Too Cold at Home,' 'Going Through the Big D (and I don't mean Dallas),' and 'It Sure Is Monday.'
The First Avenue Club will also welcome back Tucker Beathard with Mississippi's Adam Hambrick on Friday, November 8. Four of the other five national performers are from Texas. Josh Ward and Randall King (10/18), Mike and the Moonpies (11/1), and Flatland Cavalry (12/14) are from the Lone Star State while Jacob Bryant (10/25) is from Georgia.
