4 Iowans Will Attempt To Qualify For This Weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Race

Nascar is under the light this weekend. The NASCAR Sprint Cup will be at the Richmond International Raceway for the Toyota Owners 400 Saturday night. Qualifying will be later on this afternoon.

A record 4 Iowans will be trying to qualify for this weekend’s race. Cedar Rapids native Landon Cassill will be behind the wheel of the #40 Newtown Building Supplies Chevy. Des Moines native Michael Annett will be driving the #46 Pilot Flying J Chevy. Grimes, IA native Brett Moffitt will be driving the #55 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota. And in his first NASCAR Sprint Cup start this year will be Cedar Rapids native Joey Gase driving the #32 Ford.

Good Luck to all four of them in qualifying later on this aftenoon. You can watch the qualifying starting at 4:30 this afternoon on Fox Sports 1 (FS1).
