2015 RAGBRAI Making Three Stops In The Corridor

The 2015 RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) will begin in Sioux City and end in Davenport, the first time the event will start and end in those cities since the inaugural ride in 1973. It will also make three overnight stops in the I-380 Corridor this July.

RAGBRAI XLIII (43) will cover a total of 462.2 miles & starts in Sioux City Sunday, July 19th. The overnight stop will be in Storm Lake.

The ride continues Monday, with an overnight stop in Fort Dodge, followed by Eldora on Tuesday.

Wednesday, RAGBRAI arrives in The Corridor with riders staying in Cedar Falls.

Thursday and Friday's rides will be the steepest this year. Thursday, the trek makes its way from Cedar Falls into Hiawatha, which will host the ride for just the second time, and first since 2004.

Friday, the final overnight will be in Coralville before the riders head to Davenport Saturday, July 25th for the event's conclusion and traditional dipping of front tires in the mighty Mississippi River.

There will be 8,500 "official" riders on RAGBRAI again this year, the cut-off number established a number of years ago. However, anyone who's ever experienced the ride before knows there will be a whole lot more people coming to the host cities and roads in between.
