10 Restaurants Outside Cedar Rapids That You Should Visit This Summer

A few weeks ago, I wrote an article outlining some of my favorite restaurants here in Cedar Rapids. When I was putting together my list, I realized that there are also a ton of restaurants outside of Cedar Rapids that deserved a shout out, too! So, I obviously had to make another list.

It's not often that I travel out of Cedar Rapids, but after looking over my photos, I realized that I really should. Some of the places on my list are very close to us, like right over in Marion, but some are a little bit of a drive, like Iowa City or Anamosa! Here are ten of my favorite local restaurants outside of CR:

• Wild Hogs Saloon & Eatery

  • Open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
• Big Grove Brewery
  • 1225 S Gilbert Street in Iowa City and 101 W Main Street in Solon
  • Iowa City location is open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
